With over 20 years of experience in commercial writing, editing, and translation, my work is grounded in clear, engaging storytelling across digital, print, and audiovisual media. I’ve crafted long- and short-form editorial pieces on design, architecture, food, coffee, travel, and hospitality, with published work in books and magazines.
I’ve authored and ghostwritten content for branded magazines, B2B and B2C communications, and UX copy, as well as industry articles on sustainability and innovation.
Whether working independently or in teams, I bring adaptability and strategic thinking to each project, ensuring a thoughtful well-crafted approach that aligns with the voice and goals of each client.
Editing & Project Management
I provide editorial expertise across text-based and audiovisual media, ensuring content is engaging, cohesive, and polished at every stage:
• Developmental editing – Refining structure, content, and overarching narrative
• Line editing – sharpening style, flow, and readability for clarity and impact
• Copy editing – ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides
• Proofreading – final checks for grammar, spelling, and formatting
I’ve managed multi-contributor projects — from books to magazines — coordinating diverse teams to align tone, messaging, and quality under tight deadlines.
I continuously expand my skills in editorial tools and project management platforms to adapt to evolving workflows. For text and layout, I regularly use Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
Translation & Transcreation
I translate from German to my native English, ensuring texts remain faithful to the original while engaging a global audience. While I’m open to a wide range of topics, my work has primarily focused on architecture, urbanism, art, and holistic wellness, where precision and nuance are essential. As a lifelong language learner, I also have basic conversational French and basic knowledge of Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese.
My transcreation work spans marketing, corporate communications, and UX copywriting, balancing linguistic accuracy with emotional resonance. I also help clients develop editorial guidelines to achieve consistency across contributors and projects.
In an era shaped by AI, I take a creative, human-centric approach, bridging nuance and contextual awareness that technology alone cannot replicate. By leveraging digital tools to enhance – not replace – human insight, I create content that is thoughtful, authentic, and impactful.
Audiovisual Storytelling & Subtitling
With a background in montage from the Academy of Film & Television (HFF) in Babelsberg, Germany, I bring an understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and cinematic language. My experience includes editing short and long-form projects, as well as writing, directing, and editing my short film, Sunday Menu, which premiered at the Berlinale and screened internationally.
Beyond film, my creative work has spanned performance, photography, and visual art, enriching my approach to visual storytelling across different media.
I currently offer subtitle translation, editing, and timing for independent video projects and am open to opportunities in writing, consulting, directing, and combining my expertise in visual storytelling. I work with Adobe Creative Suite, Annotation Edit, and Final Cut Pro, and am always open to learning new tools as needed.
