During my six years working closely with Vienna- and Berlin-based boutique publishing house aheadmedia (2005–2011), I contributed to Nespresso Magazine as both a subeditor and a contributing editor, helping to shape this branded publication into a sophisticated lifestyle magazine that resonated with coffee enthusiasts worldwide.
As my role evolved, I took on responsibility for managing the editorial cycle of eight issues, overseeing content from initial concepts through to final publication. This included coordinating a diverse network of international writers and photographers, ensuring editorial quality and consistency across multiple language editions. Balancing deadlines, cultural nuances, and varying market needs, I worked to maintain a cohesive voice that reflected both the brand’s identity and the publication’s lifestyle focus.
I edited and occasionally wrote a range of texts. From articles on coffee origins and machines to lifestyle pieces on food and travel, the aim was to engage readers while aligning with corporate messaging. Additionally, I conducted interviews with notable Nespresso Club members, both on-site and remotely, to capture authentic voices and enrich the narrative with first-hand insights.
Collaborating closely with aheadmedia’s creative directors and Nestlé Nespresso’s brand stakeholders, I contributed to content that elevated the magazine beyond traditional corporate communications, positioning it as an engaging, high-quality publication that readers genuinely anticipated.
